Total Integrated Quality
At APTA, Quality is imbedded in every facet of our operation - from product design through customer acceptance. Our objective is to assure system is in place to provide repeatable and predictable results.
Design

Document Control system in place to assure customer requirements are understood and incorporated into all levels of design and manufacturing.

Supplier Management

APTA maintains an Approved Supplier List based on receiving inspection history, delivery to schedule, and overall product cost. Suppliers of key commodities are reviewed and / or audited to assure that an adequate Quality System is in place and that their processes are capable and repeatable.

Prototype

Detailed 1st article testing and inspection to assure adequacy of design and processing. System established to develop specific detailed yield analysis to facilitate short lead-time to full-scale production.

Production
Key processes are controlled through Employee training and certification, equipment Preventive Maintenance, and real time SPC. Key process indicators (wire pull strengths, die shears, metal adhesion, etc.) are continuously monitored. Process yields are tracked in order to facilitate Continuous Improvement effort. For military products and where otherwise required, 100% visual inspection is performed. Continuous process and product audits help assure customer requirements are being met.
Environmental Screening / Test
Perform environmental testing per Mil-Std-883 including Temperature Cycling, Burn-in, Gross and Fine Leak, Constant Acceleration, and PIND. Electrical test capabilities at full temperature range (-55 to +125oC typical).
Shipment
All product is reviewed by Inspection to assure customer requirements are met prior to shipment. Certificates of Conformance (COC's) are issued with every shipment. Specific test data is available and provided when required. In addition, Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) can be provided.
Customer Returns
It is our goal to have no customer returns. In the event there is reason to return product to APTA, an RMA will be issued by Quality Assurance. All RMAs are reviewed to determine specific root cause and corrective actions put in place to assure problem does not recur.
